Baby Play Gym with Kick Piano Mat and Hanging Toys

A baby play gym with a kick piano, a soft play mat and an arch of hanging toys, for babies from birth. Your baby lies on the mat, kicks the big piano keys and hears a cheerful tune as the keys light up, then reaches for the rattles swinging overhead.

The box calls it a Children’s Pedal Piano, and it follows your baby through the first year: lie-and-kick play in the early months, tummy time on the padded mat, and sit-up play once the piano comes off and sits on the floor in front of them. It keeps a baby busy and happy in one comfy spot while you’re close by.

Why you’ll like it

• Music for every kickFour colourful keys light up and play tunes when your baby kicks or presses them, and a button changes the sounds.
• Five toys to reach forFive rattles and toys hang from the arch, so little hands have something to bat, grab and pull.
• A soft place to playThe padded fabric mat is about 76 × 58 cm, with bright animal pictures and a height ruler printed along the edge.
• Grows with your babyThe piano detaches, so a baby who can sit up keeps pressing the keys with their hands long after the kicking stage.

Setting it up

1. 1Lay the mat flat on a clean floor or carpet, away from stairs, heaters and fans.
2. 2Fit the arch into its holders and hang the toys on the rings.
3. 3Put 3 × AA batteries in the piano, switch it on and fix it at the foot of the mat.
4. 4Lay your baby on their back with their feet near the keys.

Safety

• Stay with your baby whenever they’re on the mat.
• Check the rings and toys before each use, and remove anything loose or cracked.
• Take the arch off once your baby starts pushing up on hands and knees or pulling on it.
• Keep the battery cover closed, and take the batteries out before you put it away.

Tip: a baby play gym makes a thoughtful aqeeqah or baby shower gift. Tuck a pack of AA batteries in with it so the piano is ready on day one.
